Rolling additional capabilities for invalid traffic prevention

Invalid traffic issues have become a growing concern for industry players, urging companies to add an extra layer of traffic analysis. At Cedato we place great importance on clean traffic that is compliant with industry standards, creating a trusted supply path.

Cedato improvements of IVT detection capabilities

As part of Cedato's continuous effort to help you protect your Demand partners and avoid invalid traffic we added the 'IVT Detection' Callback. It allows our partners to work with a third party IVT provider and scan the traffic.

This service is added on top of our out-of-the box, integrated service for IVT detection and viewability measurement. The service is enabled for all customers and is integrated into your Dashboard together with the rest of your data from the Cedato Platform. It is a good opportunity to let you know that shortly, Viewability measurement by Moat will be added to that package as well.

The service we are launching today, allows you to use a third party JS callback of a third party IVT provider in a BYO (Bring Your Own) mode. Meaning you will be able to sample impressions of the desired Supply/Demand and monitor the traffic quality on the third party vendor dashboard.

The whitelisted IVT vendors are:

  • Forensiq
  • Moat
  • Pixalate
  • Protected Media
  • White Ops

Please contact your Account Manager to get other providers whitelisted on Cedato.

Adding the 'IVT Detection' Callback:

Go to Edit Supply/Demand -> click on the 'Callbacks' tab -> click the "Add a Callback" button -> open the drop down list for selecting the Callback type -> Click 'IVT Detection' callback. Now you can enter the JS Callback URL and edit the percentage of Impressions you wish to sample. The percentage of Impressions to sample is set to 100% by default.

Now all you need to do, is to pass the macros related to the information that will assist you to make decisions. The macros are the same macros you've been using for the other callbacks. You can click the "view available macros" and the list will be open up. Pass the relevant macros through the appropriate parameters of the callback.

In the event that you require assistance with our new settings, please feel free to contact your Cedato Customer Success Manager directly.
